HIS SURGERY IS DONE!

Today was Harley's surgery.  When we got up this morning he kept giving me these really sad looks.  I think he knew what was coming.

I was trying not to be a nervous wreck, so I went out and knit with the girls for a few hours.  As the horribly over-reacting mother that I am, I called and checked on him several times.

When they finally told me I could come and pick him up, I rushed up to the vets office so I could see my baby.  When they finally brought him out to me he had this funny little cone around his neck.  And for the first time ever, when the vet tech put him in my arms and I tried to kiss him, he turned his head and refused to give me a kiss.  I knew at that moment he was really pissed off at me.

He's been wobbling around the house, because he keeps putting his head down.  And walking into walls and furniture.

But don't feel too sorry for him.  He has managed to figure out how to get out of the cone, twice.  Smart little whipper-snapper!

Harley Attacking Me

Harley After Potty Break

I've been trying to catch a video of Harley running back to the door after he goes potty.  This is the best I could get today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE BOY!

Today is Harley's birthday.  He was born 5 months ago today.

First picture at home.

Today!

He has changed so much since I first got him.  His size has almost tripled.  And his attitude and demeanor are very different.  I look forward to many years with him.

Happy Birthday Harley!

Mommy loves you!

Almost Grown Up and Time To Play

The other day I went to a lys and made several gorgeous purchases.  I was trying to take pictures to share on my personal blog but Harley decided he had to check out the yarn first.  Before I knew it, his little head pooped up in a couple of the pics.  So, as is almost always the case, I just had to share them with the world (well, at least with the internet).

This gorgeous silk/merino hand dyed was his favorite, and mine too.   You can hardly see this sock yarn.  I think Harley's inner cat was showing itself for this pic.  He batted this yarn ball around for a minute or two until I was finally able to wrangle it away from him.   This pic was taken after the original photo shoot.  He is such a cutie, there is no way I can't take pics of him when he's still like this.  Unfortunately for me, he's not still like this very often.
